GOALS/MEASUREABLE RESULTS OF LFT PROGRAM

1. TRM’s Leaders for Tomorrow Program ("The Program") provides students with an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the effective operation of non-profit program management in specific applied areas of personal interest.

2. The Program allows opportunity to increase a student’s job-related experience and skills, challenges performance and influences attitudes; ultimately adding to the positive climate and efficiency of the agency.

3. The Program offers opportunities to build strong relationships with other staff persons, promoting teamwork to accomplish common goals.

4. The Program offers a constructive, productive, enthusiastic and challenging learning environment.

5. The Program provides opportunity for personal growth and increased responsibility. Students learn to set deadlines and adhere to them, providing opportunity for reinforcement of time management.

6. The Program provides opportunities for development of personal talents and skills.

7. Students learn to recognize conflicts and make the necessary decisions to resolve them in a constructive manner.

8. A "hands on" learning environment contributes to placing a high value on continuing education and advancing career goals. Students learn to apply academics beyond the classroom setting, to the "real-life" needs of the community. Working along side our staff, they learn the "soft skills" that make up TRM’s core values: caring, community, and commitment.

9. The Program encourages improved self-esteem, confidence and an optimistic outlook for personal growth.

10. Letters from educators, students, and parents attest to the fulfillment of the above objectives!
