LOGISTICS
WHAT - An exciting fundraising race throughout the Downtown Tacoma Business Community
WHEN - July or Aug. 2009
TIME - Actual race is from 9am - 4pm, with entertainment all day long!
WHERE - Race will begin & end in the Staging Area, Theater Square, on Broadway between 9th and 11th Streets.
WHY - To benefit TOY RESCUE MISSION, a non-profit in Tacoma.
AMAZING TACOMA will take PARTICIPATING TEAMS into many well-known (and some lesser-known) areas of the Downtown Business community as they participate in various "challenges":
Creating a memorable souvenir
Introduction to other cultures
Tasting unusual cultural entrees
Solving puzzles
Testing one’s stamina and endurance in a number of physical challenges
And so much more!
HOW CAN I BE A PART?
Become a PARTICIPATING TEAM MEMBER taking part in the actual race!
Help TEAM TACOMA plan and promote the event.
Become a ONE DAY VOLUNTEER of TEAM TACOMA volunteering on the day of the event.
Become a SPONSORING BUSINESS PARTNER providing funding to help host the event, or providing prizes for winning participants, thereby gaining advertising for your business!
Become a PARTICIPATING BUSINESS that teams will visit during the course of the race.
Become an INDIVIDUAL SPONSOR contributing either a monetary donation or a prize for event participants.
Become a VIDEOGRAPHER recording the day’s events!
As a PARTICIPATING TEAM MEMBER of Amazing Tacoma, you and your teammates will participate in a fun, exciting event in the Downtown Tacoma area. Exploring different museums, shops, historic areas, and learning more about our amazing city are just a few memorable and rewarding aspects of the event.
