Scrapbooking Fundraiser for Toy Rescue Mission

Fircrest Christmas Bazaar and Sleigh Raffle:
Sat. & Sun., November 15th & 16th, 2008 Christmas donations are needed NOW to fill our sleigh. The items will be used in a drawing to be held in early December. Come see our filled sleigh in the lobby of Fircrest Branch of Columbia Bank and make a donation! YOUR’S could be the winning ticket of the contents of the sleigh! This fundraiser brings in much-needed support to help us continue our Mission!

2009 Entertainment® Books for Sale:Toy Rescue Mission will be selling the very popular Entertainment Books in October. They are filled with hundreds of discount coupons for businesses in the South Sound plus other nationwide corporations. The sale of these books will raise much-needed funds for us. "I’m bored! What can I do?" HURRY OVER TO TOY RESCUE MISSION (TRM)! We’ll give you something to do!

Come and have fun while re-gifting new life into previously-loved toys! "Why would I want to do that?" you ask.
Why? Because, TRM brings so much joy and delight to needy children and seniors (with Alzheimer’s and dementia) through age-and-gender-appropriate Easter Baskets, and "second-time-around" Christmas and Birthday gifts.

Why? Because, it’s just plain FUN and REWARDING! Here we find truth in the adage …

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."

But, TRM is about more than just volunteering one’s time. It’s about EXERCISE!

"There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up!"

It’s about RECYCLING! Literally TONS of gently-used toys have a chance to be loved again instead of winding up in our local land-fills!

It’s about having a chance to be part of the PLANNING & STAGING of EXCITING EVENTS! Easter, Christmas, summer fairs, and AMAZING TACOMA!* to mention a few.

"But, I have no time!" To that we say:
"He who does not get FUN and ENJOYMENT out of every day needs to reorganize his life!" And, where can you go to have more fun, than to Toy Rescue Mission?
